BlackSquare was recently invited by Canada’s Prime Minister, Stephen Harper to help welcome Tony Abbott, Prime Minister of Australia, on his first official visit to Canada.
BlackSquare CEO Matthew Protti and President David Gluzman, attended the June 9th dinner for Prime Minister Abbott in Ottawa. Held at the Chateau Laurier hotel, the dinner gathered approximately 250 business leaders, most with strong business ties in Australia and Canada.
“We were invited because of our deep linkage to the Australian wine industry. Most of our global sales come from Australia, from our subsidiary, BlackSquare Australia Pty Ltd. and Sydney office.” explained David Gluzman.
BlackSquare’s Australian clients include Brown Brothers, McWilliam’s Wines, DeBortoli Wines, Angove, Margan, Ballabourneen, Howard Vineyards, Evans & Tate, Brand’s Laira, and others. “We expect our Australian business to keep growing as we devote more resources to that market. We are excited to work closely with our Australian wine industry colleagues, and enjoyed the opportunity to welcome Prime Minister Abbott to Canada.”
